Youth Ministry Groups
FIRE@ICE (Faith Igniting Radical Energy@ Immaculate Conception Elmhurst)
is a ministry to empower high school teens to remain committed to both their faith and be support (prayfully and socially) to each other. We welcome and invite any teens who want to grow in their spiritual lives while also honoring our Catholic roots. What do we do? Teens are encouraged to simplify their crazy schedules, talk about what's going on, and place God in the middle of it. We meet Tuesday nights in the youth center, plan one retreat per year, have occasional social events, and offer living Stations of the Cross for the parish on Good Friday. Each summer we offer an awesome, out of state, mission trip. And, we also invite any teen leaders to attend the Diocesan Youth Leadership Conference.

CrossTrainers (CT) Junior High Youth Ministry
Junior high students are all preparing for what they perceive as their "final step". In actuality that big step (Confirmation) is just one more step to get them closer to the finishing line of fully accepting and wanting God in their lives. CT encompasses how our religious education program is run on Sunday mornings (engaging learning sessions that are discussion based with interactive learning and use of media,) Confirmation preparation in 8th grade (CrossTrainers University), and the events we are just starting to reoffer to have a place to have fun in a faith-filled environment.
