Sacrament Formation and Sacrament Dates

The First Eucharist Application Form must be completed and turned in to the child’s teacher or RE catechist by
October 9.

The 2nd Grade children will be divided into two groups:
Group A and Group B, for Reconciliation and Eucharist.
Group A: 2nd Graders in Room 8 at ICGS & Sunday RE children
Group B: 2nd Graders in Room 7 at ICGS & RE Wednesday children
Both sacraments will take place in our Sacred Heart Chapel
Group A: First Reconciliation (Confession) –Monday, February 5 at 6:30 p.m.
First Eucharist (Communion) – Saturday, May 4, at 9:30 a.m.
Group B: First Reconciliation (Confession) - Tuesday, February 6 at 6:30 p.m.
First Eucharist (Communion) – Saturday, May 4, at 1:00 p.m.
PARENT & CHILD MEETINGS
Sacrament of Reconciliation Parent & Child Meeting in the Church at 1 p.m.
Group A and Group B – Sunday, November 12
Sacrament of Eucharist Parent & Child Meeting in the Church at 1 p.m.
Group A and Group B – Sunday, February 25
BREAD BREAKING RITUAL IN PLUNKETT HALL at 6:30 p.m.
Parents and 2nd Graders are to attend.
Group A – Monday, March 11 Group B – Tuesday, March 12
RECONCILIATION SERVICE IN PREPARATION FOR THE SACRAMENT OF EUCHARIST
Both Parents and 2
nd Graders in Groups A and B – April 23 at 6:30 p.m.
FIRST COMMUNION REHEARSAL
Children line up in Plunkett Hall. Parents locate reserved seating in our Sacred Heart Chapel at 6:30 p.m.
