THE MISSION STATEMENT OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
The Immaculate Conception Religious Education Office is a formational ministry serving the faith community of Immaculate Conception Parish. It operates under the direction of the Religious Education Staff, with the support and the advice of the Religious Education Board. It promotes the Reign of God through life-long faith formation. It seeks to proclaim the Word, foster sacramental celebrations and worship, and further the work of justice and service. It implements the guidelines of the National Catechetical Directory and the policies of the Diocesan Religious Education Office.
PRAYING AND CARING FOR OTHERS
We are called to pray often throughout the year for catechists, parents and all those who are dedicated in a special way to sharing the word of God with others. We should be mindful of opportunities in our daily lives to live out our faith – through a kind word, a helping hand, or a willingness to listen.
