Celebrate the
Solemnity of the
Feast of the Immaculate Conception
on Tuesday, December 6, 2016
Many churches, especially the Catholic Church, in the United States
hold Masses that focus on the concept that the
Virgin Mary was conceived without sin.
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception centers on
the belief that Jesus’ mother, the Virgin Mary,
was conceived without sin.
Pope Pius IX issued an apostolic constitution, known as the
Ineffabilis Deus, on December 8, 1854. This document
clarified the importance of the Immaculate Conception
in the Catholic Church.
This week, use this prayer for the
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
Father, The image of the Virgin is found in your Church.
Mary had a faith that your Spirit prepared and
a love that never knew sin,
for you kept her sinless from the first
moment of her conception.
Trace in our actions the lines of her love,
in our hearts her readiness of faith.
Prepare once again a world for your Son who lives and reigns
with your and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
